Don’t look now, but two of the teams that are usually talked about more than any other have not been getting enough attention lately.
We will see these two NFC East teams in action on Sunday when the New York Giants go on the road to take on the Dallas Cowboys.
The most surprising unit of this season so far is Dallas’ defense. I mean, they are so confident they released one of their top linebackers in Jaylon Smith.
On the other hand, the Giants have played clean football. They certainly are not the best team by any means, but they have limited turnovers after last season and are allowing Saquon to come into form.
With two of the largest fan bases in the NFL going head-to-head, it should be a pretty fun matchup all the way around.
Let’s break this one down and help you determine your best bets.
New York Giants Betting Preview: Welcome back Saquon Barkley
Barkley has played in all four games this season after suffering a long-term injury last year, but it has taken all four games for him to gain his confidence back.
In their Week 4 matchup against the Saints, Barkley put together his first multi-score game since December of 2019 and really was dominant in both the running game and the passing game.
Daniel Jones has taken steps to improve his play, which has only elevated this team all the way around.
It really all comes down to Jones limiting his turnovers. In his first couple of seasons, he was an interception and fumbling machine.
Between that and the emergence of Barkley, the Giants might be a better team than we think.
Dallas Cowboys Betting Preview: Offense and defense firing on all cylinders
We knew when we entered this season that Dak Prescott being healthy meant that this offense could put up top-five numbers this season.
They’re doing just that, but it really is their defense that has shined and taken this team to the next level.
Acquiring the blue-chippers they have in the draft has made them formidable and caused ten takeaways already on the season.
Dallas has flown under the radar a bit in the first four weeks, but I think all eyes will be on them moving forward, as typical with any other season.
The NFL is more fun when the Cowboys are competitive.

This is a tough week of games to make predictions for, but I think in this one, you have to take Dallas at home.
They are one last-second field goal in Week 1 away from being 4-0, and they just have all the tools to make this one easy for them.
